Mentoring and Training Cooperation Protocol - June 18, 2026

During a meeting held as part of the Mentoring and Education Cooperation Protocol signed between Akdeniz University’s Career Development Application and Research Center (AKAMER) and the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) Directorate, Prof. Dr. Aslıhan ERSOY BOZCUK, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Sehel SERİN TÜRK, Director of Management Systems and Sustainability at Antalya OSB; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuray AKAR, Member of the AKAMER Board of Directors; and Mert GÖRGEL, a third-year student in the Department of Business Administration, came together. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding Mert GÖRGEL’s voluntary internship, which is set to begin on July 6, 2026, under the Directorate of Management Systems and Sustainability at Antalya OSB, and the contributions the internship program will make to the student’s professional development were addressed.

Ayhan, a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) in Germany, presenting her study titled "The Cost of Job Loss for Coal Miners in Turkey." Conducted together with Hartmut Lehmann and Jan C. Steckel, the research examined the economic costs of layoffs in Turkey's coal mining sector.
