Internationalization, Academic and Collaboration Meeting – June 30, 2026

At this international academic collaboration meeting to be organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Akdeniz University, Assist. Prof. Renata Stanley from the Bratislava University of Economics and Business in Slovakia will participate as a guest speaker. The meeting will address opportunities for collaboration in research, publishing, and joint projects, as well as the foundations of building a lasting international partnership between two forward-looking institutions. The event will take place on June 30, 2026, at 1:45 PM in the İİBF A Block Finance Laboratory.

PM² Project Management Methodology Training

Organized in collaboration between Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and AKVAM, this comprehensive training program provides an in-depth exploration of the PM² Project Management Methodology—developed by European Union institutions and serving as the cornerstone of EU project processes. Designed within a broad curriculum ranging from values and principles to roles and responsibilities, and from agile project management to tools and techniques, the training aims to equip participants with project management competencies that are competitive within EU funding mechanisms and compliant with international standards. This methodology, which strengthens coordination among EU institutions, member states, service providers, and stakeholders, ensures project success through a systematic approach. Organized as part of the AGEK Events series by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Akdeniz University, this informational seminar addressed Scientific Research Projects (BAP)—a critical area where academic research intersects with institutional funding processes. Under the motto “Turn Your Creativity into Action: Leave Your Mark with Your Project,” speaker Prof. Dr. Şükrü Özen positioned researchers not only as scientists but also as visionary individuals capable of transforming their ideas into sustainable projects. The seminar provided practical information on BAP application processes, project management, and reporting stages, laying the groundwork for academics to realize their research potential in the most effective manner. Held as part of the AGEK Events organized in collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Akdeniz University and AKVAM, this panel discussion examined the European Union’s extensive project funding ecosystem and opportunities for academic-institutional collaboration. Based on the information presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çoban, the discussion covered pathways to accessing various EU funding programs—particularly Horizon Europe—the key components of successful project design, and strategies for establishing international partnerships. The event aimed to provide participants not only with an understanding of current opportunities but also with the perspective and motivation needed to transform these opportunities into concrete projects. Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence

Organized in collaboration between Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and AGEK, this event examined the topics of data mining and artificial intelligence—two of today’s most transformative technologies—from an academic perspective. Prof. Dr. Uğur Bilge, a faculty member at Akdeniz University’s Faculty of Medicine, presented the processes of extracting meaningful patterns from large datasets and the decisive role of artificial intelligence algorithms in these processes using an interdisciplinary approach. The event, which addressed how these technologies—gaining increasing importance in the fields of health, business, and social sciences—are reshaping decision-making processes and research methods, offered participants an inspiring experience in developing data-driven thinking skills and preparing for the future.
